The ProForm Crosswalk 8.0 Elliptical has great quality and it is packed into a tiny space. The stride length is 22″, which is amazing, and still it only takes 47″ of floor space. It is a center drive designed elliptical that in so allows it to need only as much as half of the space of another elliptical trainer.

You also get a great pack of features that include: iFit workouts, iPod Dock, High Resolution Display and 20 levels of digitally controlled resistance. For the budget price you pay for all of this and the quality of it all it is a bargain that you have to consider if you are planning to buy an elliptical trainer.

Center Drive Elliptical Trainer

The ProForm Crosswalk 8.0 Elliptical catches your eyes because of the centre drive design, most elliptical trainers either are front or rear drive designed. But this doesn’t mean that it is less stable or loses performance quality, it only means that it takes less space to be used and keeps all the benefits of the other designs.

The Magnetic Resistance is also another strong point in this elliptical, it is smooth and virtually silent. And you can also add the advantage that with a center drive elliptical, and especially for women with average height or below, the foot pedals are closer together than in other models of elliptical, meaning that it is more comfortable for you. The same cannot be said for men that are above average in height, but for most users it is comfortable.

Proform iSeries 785 F Elliptical Review

The Proform iSeries 785 F Elliptical can only be considered for two things: the power incline and the low price. There are some quality issues with this elliptical that even the fact that it has a power incline, a feature that is mostly associated with more expensive models, can’t be covered or forgotten.

Overall it is an elliptical from which you should keep your money away from. Unless you are in a really tight budget and without any choices then this may be your best choice, but there are better elliptical with much better pack of features for a little bit more than what you pay for this one.

Not a good choice

The Proform iSeries 785 F Elliptical has some attractive features, the Power Intensity Ramp combined with the Personal Trainer Workouts and the Weight Loss Workouts can give you enough challenges to keep you busy and motivated for a long time. It is also effective and can deliver results with time and daily usage.

But this is where the good parts end. If you go over most of the reviews that customers leave about this elliptical in the internet you will find that with time it becomes very noisy, some parts break off easily and the elliptical becomes unstable as you ride on it. It looks good, but it isn’t that good under the hood.

The warranty isn’t also that impressive, meaning that within months, or maybe weeks, of your date of purchase and you have enjoyed your elliptical trainer, it will start to show its true face and you will have quality issues. If you are lucky maybe the warranty will cover it. But, why take the chance when there so many other choices as good as this model? Why not save a few hundred dollars and buy a good elliptical trainer.

The Proform 20.0 CrossTrainer is filled with good features, sold at an affordable price and with some surprises. The surprise is the personal trainer program and two video games. The personal trainer program is nice to have; it actually talks back to you as you exercise to keep you within the programs metrics. The video games, it’s more of a personal thing, either you like it or hate it.

If you look at these bells and whistles, and you are really looking for a good elliptical trainer, these are not the features that will make you sign a check. Is this elliptical trainer any good, or will it break every week of the year?

Playground time

The Proform 20.0 CrossTrainer looks like it was built for someone who likes to play more than taking its fitness seriously. It has the GameFit Interactive Fitness Games, which can be attractive if you like them and that will motivate you to workout. The games are not really the best there is, Calorie Invaders and Fatblocker, but can be entertaining. But, why not to play good games with a games console and leave the elliptical for serious workout time?

One thing that is good is the Interactive Audio CrossTrainer, it is like having a personal trainer to guide you through your workout sessions and keep in track with your stats for better results. At first it is good and works out fine, but it can also be annoying after a few weeks. If you like to drive with your GPS on, then we guess you will also like this feature.

Everything else is standard for the price range, and has good quality. If this elliptical trainer was to be stripped off the two previously mentioned features it would just like another great Proform elliptical. Overall it is all about the games and the personal trainer program, to buy this elliptical is much of a personal choice either you like it or not.

The ProForm 10.0 ZE Elliptical is the new 2010 rear drive elliptical model. You can count with an adjustable stride length, with 3 choices: 13’’, 15’’ and 18’’. This feature allows you to target different muscles as you workout, plus it gives users with different heights better comfort. It is very efficient with 12 digital resistance levels, to burn more calories as you increase the intensity of your workout.

It is an entry level elliptical, price target in which Proform feels so comfortable. It is loaded with great features and it is solid and sturdy, smooth and quiet. The warranty isn’t that great and the 275 pound maximum weight for users isn’t that great either. But, for the price you pay, can’t ask for much more.

Great entry level elliptical trainer

The ProForm 10.0 ZE Elliptical is a good choice if you are not expecting too much from it. If you are looking for an elliptical with which you can work out seriously, you’d better look somewhere else, this elliptical is great if you like power walking or light jogging, above that you may test the limits of the machine.

Other than that everything else put this elliptical on the top of its price range. It has a space saver design that allows it to be folded, it is compatible with iFit technology, the large LCD display has all the info that you need to keep your stats controlled.

You can’t find much information yet about this elliptical, it is a brand new model for 2010, but the hype is out there, specially about its adjustable stride with 3 lengths to choose from: 13”, 15”, and 18”. And also the 12 levels of resistance than combined with the resistance greatly increase the benefits of you time working out with this elliptical.

Plus all the nice things that you will love, like the fact that it can be folded to be stored away after you have used it, the music port for iPod’s with the sound system Intermix Acoustics. It is perfect for home usage.

“The machine is very sturdy and smooth. It took about 3 hours to put together.It was missing 4 washers when putting together. The description isn’t accurate. It says there is a “coolair fan” but there is not. Proform resolved it by crediting me and assuring they would change the description. Also it states there is an “IPod dock”, which there is not. There is only a USB and stereo jack. It looks like they took their description form the Nordic Track site.”

Only suggestion here would be to read the review and inspect the product well enough before taking a delivery. But, overall, it is ideal for users with small, medium and long heights (up to 22 inches) and quite easy on the space consumption and your budget. Proform’s good warranty is an added advantage.
