 Tunturi is well known all over the world to have a very good, solid reputation. They are a very environment friendly company. Tunturi began expanding in the year 2000 and had built the largest fitness manufacturing plant in the world by then. Beginning 2003, they became part of a Dutch international conglomerate named the Accell Group.

 The company had been in business for 80 years now, and is comparable with its more popular, but not necessarily better competitor, Nordic Track. They are more popular in Europe, competing with the likes of ProForm and Reebok in the fitness equipments market.

 You can also compare their quality with that of Kettlers in a way that they both have heavy duty flywheels and have smooth, quiet motions. They are both also compact and are considered to be more on the lower end market.

 In the US, they are more known for their quality indoor bikes, and is yet to be more known with their elliptical models. They may not yet be in the same ballpark as Precor and Life Fitness, but with their continued innovation and passion in the fitness equipment industry, it is no wonder if they soon will be.
