The Lifecore LC-985VG Elliptical Trainer was constructed as a hybrid from the LC 980 and the LC 990, and combines the best features from these models and keeps the price within an affordable range. It is a great elliptical trainer in which is hard to find downsides to the Lifecore LC-985VG.
It has a small footprint and it is easy to move around the house and pass through doorways. And it was built with a large enough stride length for smaller users and with smaller spacing between pedals for bigger users. It is a rock solid elliptical that lasts forever without major problems. The Lifecore LC-985VG Elliptical Trainer is a solid elliptical trainer with few whistles and bells, has high quality components such as the full sealed bearings system in all moving points that are much better than bushings that wear out easily. From the inside to the outside club like look, it is a great elliptical.
It is easy to assemble and shouldn’t take more than 30 minutes to have it out of the box and ready to use. And even the smaller problems like squeaky wheels are easy to solve without having to call a technician.
Like all many other compact elliptical, one advantage is that they do fit in every corner of a house or apartment, but since they are small and light weighted, when bigger users try the Lifecore LC-985VG it may not be as stable as expected. Plus, another disadvantage is that the stride length may not be fit for taller users, but the Lifecore LC-985VG does have one of the largest strides in its price range with 17.5’’ length.
The two heart rate sensors are positioned in the handles; one is higher than the other, so you can find the most comfortable position for you while working out. There are 12 preset workout programs to choose from, plus 4 pulse-rated based programs, and 4 user profiles, which makes it great for multiple users and family usage.
There is a creative idea in the Lifecore LC-985VG that draws attention to it immediately, the dial gauge which allows changing the resistance, resembling one in an MP3 player. The LED display is easy to read and simple, gives immediate feedback on time, speed, distance, calories, watts and heart pulse.
